SPower Reference Positive Voltage Regulator - V2

The SPower Reference low noise voltage regulator has been developed with no compromise.

Most regulators are designed to fit in small areas and for good reason. The REF regulator has been designed primarily for where a higher quality of sound is required (lower noise) aiding a wider sound stage along with a bigger more detailed sound.

You can choose between Analogue or Digital configuration to suit the circuit you will be using it with.
EG 2.5 to 12V output (15V input max) for Digital will be tuned with Oscon SVP capacitor on its output rather than a Cerafine as on the Analogue version. Anything over 15V will automatically have a Cerafine.

  • 15V max input voltage (Digital spec)
  • 1.2V dropout
  • Low loss 2oz Copper pcb
  • Size - 49mm x 40mm x 21mm L x W x D

Enjoy your music even more!

I have a reasonable level of experience of Fidelity Audio’s Standard SPower regulators. They are a massive leap forward sound quality wise. I have eight for my preamp.

The sound is pretty amazing!! Then along comes two Uber SPower regulators (now called ‘Reference’). I swap these with the Standard SPowers that feed the main gain boards of the pre-amp.

The results… an UBER surprise!! Massive improvement in all areas. At last, some bass from CD. Really tight (subject to recording). The best though, I can only describe with the word ‘rightness’. It is not definable with the English vocabulary. The reduction of the inevitable effects of mechanical/electrical processes to re-create an analogue sound are reduced, making the sound more accessible, more communicative whilst not having to work so hard at listening. It is one of the intangibles of our love of music. The above sounding like clumsy waffle to those not sharing our love of reproduced music.

If you are thinking of getting some of Brent’s Regulators and you can afford it, go for the Ubers and enjoy your music even more.
