The Original Bluesound NODE N130 N131 N132 Reference Interface PCB only (external PSU required)

 

Please note - we cannot guarantee optimal performance when you choose your own psu. We recommend a linear psu at the very least, the lower the noise the better.

PSU basic requirements -

  • 5V DC
  • 2A minimum (2000mA)
  • DC Plug 5.5mm x 2.1mm
  • Centre Pin Positive


Improve the performance of the Node GEN 3 with Fidelity Audio Reference Interface pcb. This Interface uses lower ESR capacitors with greater ripple rejection + more uF than the standard Interface pcb which offers an even lower noise floor. We now supply the Reference Interface pcb with our Ultra and Reference PSUs.

Removing the original noisy switch mode psu away from the delicate electronics inside the Node eliminates close proximity EMI pollution. Not only does that help performance the design and use of quality parts on the Interface raises the performance of the Node further.

  • Extended low bass frequencies
  • Less midrange muddle
  • Cleaner less harsh top end
  • Fuller sound
  • Option to upgrade psu later.

Node N130 - Reference Interface

Dear Fidelity Audio Team,

I have installed your reference interface board and now operate the Node N130 with a Keces 5 volt linear power supply.

First of all, big praise for the accuracy of fit of the circuit board and thus the easy installation. The resulting sound quality is outstanding. However, you should give the board a break-in period of 2 weeks.

Reference interface Bluesound

This reference interface does exactly what it stands for! He takes it to the next level! Especially depth in the music and soundstage have increased. In short, a very good quality purchase. Now I'm going to listen to music again! That's what it's all about right!

Noticeable improvement

This component, along with the Pro 2 V2 psu, has made a noticeable difference in the Bluesound N130's performance: deeper & more articulate bass, smoother & extended highs, and less "flat" soundstage. It needed some burn-in time... right out of the box, I didn't like what I heard, but after a week or so, things got better.

I will never know how much of the elevated performance is due to the Pro2 V2 psu (unless I purchase an Sboost or another competitor's cheaper psu). In any case, FA's upgrades greatly improve the stock Node N130's "mid-fi" performance.
