    'Hearing is believing'

    SPower 'HC' SPower 'Digital'
High power low noise, fast response voltage regulators. These top-quality devices are drop-in replacements for 3-pin "TO-220" regulators, as can be found in almost any CD player. These regulators are comparable with well known low noise regulators 2X the price! This is the NEW discrete version of the SPower 'HC' that offers a lower noise output. The Spower 'D' is designed to replace 78xx regulators where 2.5V, 3.3V and 5V are required in digital circuits and are a direct pin replacement.
    • SPower regulators offer superior performance over standard OEM parts
    • low noise output and fast speed
    • Designed to replace the standard 3 pin T0-220 voltage regulators found in CD , DVD players and some preamplifiers
    • high current capabilities (>5amps when used with appropriate heatsink)
    • available in +/- 3.3 , 5 , 8 , 9 , 11 , 12 , 15, 18 & 24V (if you can't see a voltage you require please ask)
    • 35V max input voltage
    • 4V dropout
    • Discrete low noise regulator
    • Designed for digital 2.5V, 3.3V & 5V applications

    About regulators

From entry level separates through to expensive high end components you will find cheap OEM regulators fitted (usually designated 78xx [positive] or 79xx [negative]).

These regulators are inherently very noisy and this prevents your equipment from effectively producing the best audio it is capable of. The standard regulators corrupt the delicate circuits with high noise levels and slow reaction time. This hides subtle detail and slows the attack and decay of instruments and drastically reduces details and sound stage air.

The SPOWER regulator addresses these fundamental problems, featuring a stable high speed low noise voltage delivery. You can expect to hear increased detail, energy and spatiality. The timing and dynamics will take a leap forward towards a musically satisfying result. You can also expect to hear better texture and a lower noise floor.

The SPOWER benefits from a very low noise precision voltage reference which is fed via a filter circuit offering broadband filtration to a low noise JFet Operational amplifier, the output of which controls a fast, high current HEXFET power MOSFET which can output a nominal 500mA and over 5 amps heavily heatsinked!
