Don't be fooled into thinking that these upgrades offer subtle improvements think again, the audible gains (increasing with levels) drastically improves the CD-63/67 CD players.


Level 5
Building further on Level 4 the Level 5 employes 5 more SPower low noise regulators in important areas such as the Servo and Decoder psu. The Decoder pcb power rail traces are also addressed. This upgrade uses 8 SPower low noise regulators!!

Level 6
Level 6 adds a Toroidal transformer and two pre regulator power supplies for the dac digital and analogue voltage rails. This isolates the dacs power rails helping retrieve even more detail. A further 4 standard 78xx 79xx regulators are fitted to the servo driver ics aiding timing of the music. This upgrade uses 8 SPower low noise regulators!!

Level 7
Level 7 adds three extra SPower low noise regulators. One to the dacs 5V clock supply, one for the RF & HF supply and one for the rest of the 5V. Coax has been added to from the laser pcb to carry the delicate RF to the decoder. A quality flexi ribbon is also fitted between the mech pcb and main pcb. The CPU is further isolated from the rest of the 5V rail by having its own standard 5V regulator. This upgrade uses 11 SPower low noise regulators!!
