Just a quick word regarding recent upgrade. I'm now in week 7 and I can confirm that this DAC has been turned into something very special indeed. All of the positive comments by others are valid. However what I found most astounding is that after 4-5 weeks the DAC took on a richness and smoothness to the the music which to be fair I haven't come across before. It really is a pleasure to listen to. Its nice to get away from scrutinising and actually sit back and listen and enjoy the music. Great stuff

After fitting the C2 clock on top of the existing level 5 mod I was very pleasantly surprised. The Clock has been running for a couple of weeks now and has settled in nicely. This DAC is now definitely up with the big boys. I can't believe what a huge difference this clock has made. The sound has become more detailed,along with the bass extending down to the depths of hell in a very controlled and refined manner. The Pace, Attack and Timing is superb along with a much better sound stage (front.rear,left and right) more 3D. The sheer weight of the musical presentation is fantastic and makes for a very easy listening situation. I am once again re-discovering my music collection.

Just to say a very big thank you. After just 48 hours of burning in the improvements are already significant, particularly in terms of a less recessed presentation, less sibilant female voices, and even more vivid, rock solid soundstage. If it continues to improve over 4 weeks, it's going to sound very special indeed.

The Dacmagic has continued to improve with further burn-in, particularly after employing the recommended Maplin power supply. It now does indeed sound even more detailed and dynamic in addition to the previously noted improvements.

Hi Brent, Just wanted to say thanks for the upgrade. It's still at the early burning in stage but to my ears,
the richness of the sound and the detail just puts a huge grin on my face. The timbre on some of the vocals
and string quartets is remarkable.

I had a wee little music session this weekend and just ended up with a grin and shivers running down my spine, I'm convinced even 2 and half months later that  DAC is just sounding sweeter and sweeter! I just cant describe to anybody how good it sounds! The bass is just awesome, mids are sweet, and top end so smooth. The soundstage, decay and sheer amount of musical information at this price level are just beyond reproach.
